(Stig, if you're reading this - how about a Coaching section...)

Dear Jef,

You first need to make sure your basic shooting technique is sound: grip of the boule, stance, aim, release and follow-through, etc. Ideally you need a coach or experienced player who can advise you, otherwise a video or book.

There are many different training exercises to try, e.g:
- shooting a single boule at different distances
- place 3 boules in a row and shoot the middle boule, both in-line and side-by-side
- use a tyre and practise lobbing into it. This develops a good lobbing style needed for shooting.
- place target boules on a wooden block. This forces you to be accurate!
- draw a circle and place 6 boules inside, 3 are yours, 3 against. Practise shooting the against boules.
- place 3 boules in a triange and try and shoot 2 boules with 1.

I'm sure there are lots more, but these are good basics to try and pracise.

Good luck!
