This is an attempt at making a good faq for the game of petanque. All questions that are directly related to the game and it's basic rules should be included here. The questions and answers are meant for beginners - so please keep it easy to understand for non-players.

Jeff,
I hope this will help you with the basics. I always remember B.R.A.P.
B - Bend wrist, R - Reach back as far as your arm can go, A - accelerate the forward motion, P - Point your hand after the release of the boule.
Be conscious of your release point before each shot. For example if it's a 9 plus meter shot you have to remind yourself that the release point is higher. If it's a shorter shot, it's a lower release point. And of course alot of practice. Good luck.
