terrain topping

our martha's vineyard terrain is extremely natural. recently, we topped it with stone dust; a bit too much, i think.

it's great for practice, as most of it is 'dead'.

does stone-dust eventually subside into the underlayer?

[yes, i water, rake & roll.]
thanks, ellinor

What do you mean by: it's great for practice, as most of it is 'dead'??

Provided the underlayer is a hard surface, the stone dust will eventually become very hard too.

thanks for reassurance that stone-dust will eventually harden.

by great for practice i referred to thread in which people lamented 'dead' spots on terrain; and somebody wrote it's good practice to learn to cope with them.
with lots of 'dead' terrain , i must practice lobbing. regards, ellinor
