While the specifications for petanque boule allow for a huge number of potential combinations of size and weight.
It seems that my observations suggest the majority of players use boule that weigh between 700g and 740g and the sizes of 72mm, 73mm, and 74mm, seem most popular. This would reduce the common combinations of size and weight to about 12. Plus the different combinations of striations.
Are my observations consistent with what other people have observed?
Do many people have different boule for different conditions or do most players only have one set?
thanks
Don
