Boule from Thailand??

Hello,

I recently crossed the Thai border to Laos at Chong Mek (Thailand) - Viangtao (Laos) on a short visit to the Laos market there (day trip - no visa required) and picked up a set of 6 regular size and weight chrome plated metal boules and a jack (cochonnet?) for 400 baht or about 10 US dollars in the market there.

The boules don't bear any manufacturer's or weight engravings. Having never played petanque before I really bought them just as a souvenir, but now after trying them I play most days in the garden with family and friends. Are there local / farang clubs in the Bangkok area we could join?

Chris
