We have a working youth program in our school. it is part of the PE curriculum for over 2 years now. I think the success to starting a petanque youth program at the middle school level is to start while they are in the elementary school. We have great interest with the students in our school & I still get comments from the children after they are in middle school. I plan on expanding to other schools in the district possibly opening up inter-school tournaments. We were recently on the pront page of the local paper regarding this fun game (see link)

also petanque america has us on their site. I would be interested in starting a national program but like it was stated before you have to start out small then work towards big. I am not a member of FPUSA but I do plan on joining & possibly starting a club in my area. Feel free to contact me.
