In Australia, I am wondering if the Code d'arbitrage has been translated in English, or if an English version exist.
As well I am interested by any publications on Umpiring.
Thank you

Hello,
First of all i would like to say loud thank you for petanque.org services. I'm from Poland - the petanque is rather unknown here (few persons heard about boule but often it's misunderstanded with bocce play :-) ), and only one shop is distributing proper equipment ( sad to say - they just import some stuff from France, probably from saleoff's - for example the plastic bags are corrupten and so ...). For now with petanque.org help I've found a great source of information, links to pages with training tips, books and so .. Thank you once again ..

Few not nice words :-) : I was trying several times to add myslef to players database. I think I'm added there couse I can even edit my personal data - but I'm not shown on players list and Poland is not shown also. Perhaps I'm doing somethin wrong - pls let me know what should i correct on marek.stachowski@big.pl .

Anyway - for any players who ever will be in Poland - let us know and play toegether. Soon we start first club in Warsaw with aprox. 10 players for begining and WWW page http://petanque.of.pl

Regards,
Marek

article 24

24 All boules thrown contrary to the rules are dead and everything they have moved is put back in place. The same applies to a boule played from a circle other than that from which the cochonnet was thrown.

Do we assume that everything they have moved is put back in place_provided it was marked previously?

What if we intended that there was no such requirement? That it would be put back in place marked or unmarked? How would we then write article 24?

Where is it written that _provided it was previously marked_ or something to that effect) would always apply in other articles throughout the document?

TIA,
Guy

ARTICLE 29 - Equidistant Boules

If two boules belonging to opposing teams are equidistant from, or touching the cochonnet, the end is declared void if there are no more boules to be played, and the cochonnet is thrown by the team winning the previous end or toss.

If only one team has boules left to play, it plays them and scores as many points as it has boules closer to the cochonnet than the nearest opponent's boule.

If both teams have boules to play, the team that played the last boule plays again, then the other team, and so on alternately until a boule is holding the point. When only one team has boules left, they play them as in the above paragraph.

If, after completion of the end, no boules remain within the boundary of the playing area [normally the dead ball line], the end is declared void.
