The line you see is the weld. This has happened on several sets of my OBUT non-stainless steel boules. The weld material is probably a slightly different metallic alloy or type of steel than the boule itself. It eventually wore down so it was hardly noticeable. On the OBUT boules the line was very distinctive but on a set of MS 2110 boules that had been put away damp (I thought that they were dry) the line was very faint and disappeared after one session of play. I hate rust and once it starts it can really be a nightmare so I always keep a spare dry towel in the car just in case. Good luck.
