This is an attempt at making a good faq for the game of petanque. All questions that are directly related to the game and it's basic rules should be included here. The questions and answers are meant for beginners - so please keep it easy to understand for non-players.

I have a question about Tir de Precision. I downloaded the form from the FIPJP site. I can't find an explanation regarding the points awarded. Our group plays a shooting where a carreau is definded as not moving more than 50 cm from original target boule and a hit as moving the target boule at least 20 cm. Casquettes are just tough luck. In normal play while a casquette is a touché it only counts for frustration since the target boule remains. Also the definition of a carreau can be kind of loose. A true carreau is obvious in that it is a direct hit and replacement of one boule for the other In FIPJP Tir de Precision what constitutes a Carreau, a Réussi and a Touché in terms of distance moved?
Thanks in advance for any and all information.
