Art.16 states: 'The player must not use any object to draw a line on the ground to give aid in playing a boule or mark the point of landing.'
Would the "object" include a foot that is used to point out the boule to shoot out or spot to aim for or way throught other boules? Some players will actually keep their foot in position until the boule hits the ground.
What do you think???

The important words here is"to draw a line". Drawing a line or any mark on the ground is not allowed is not allowed.
However, there are no restrictions to where partners of the player whose turn it is to play shall stand on the playing area.
Whether one points a boule or a landing spot with his or her hand or foot makes no differences.
As long as the partners don't interfere with the boules, what difference does it make?
Let's not nit pick!

I need to correct the quotation from "to draw a line" to "or draw a line".

I wonder if the use of a laser-"line" would be okay.
I would tend to think that Art. 16's purpose of not using an object to draw a line was mainly so as not to "alter the ground surface"
- but having a partner stand at the proposed landing spot and use their toe as a target point is ok -
...so if someone were to use a laser-level (a common device used primarily in home construction) which casts a clear orange line along the ground (without disturbing the actual surface - of course) might present a useful tool.
On Sunny days, it wouldn't be very useful, but at night, it'd be quite easily seen.
