One method that I have found useful to improve both pointing and shooting is to play against yourself with 2 sets of 3 boules each and designate one set as pointing only with a high lob (plombe) and the other pointing by low toss/roll. You shoot as necessary and keep score to 13. As we all know some conditions call for the high shot and some for a rolling shot. This technique will improve both. Have fun while practicing!
