Very interesting points! In the latest Marco Foyot DVD “Les conseils de Marco Foyot”, there’s a section on how boules are made, in the Obut factory. They show a test for how well a boule is balanced: it’s simply rolled down a flat surface, if it rolls straight, it passes, if it rolls to the side, it’s rejected.
