Yes, I agree...
Knowing the rules, and telling other players what the actual rule is, even though they may not have abided by it during a leisure game is important.
I had a tournament situation which had the cochonnet tossed invalidly three times, and so the opposing team has an opportunity to toss the cochonnet the valid distance - which they did - but then they thought they also had the right to toss the first boule ...I walked over to them - and told them that the initial team did not lose their right to throw the first boule - as per Article 7.
It wouldn't have been a big deal in this tournament - as everyone was friendly - but in another tournament - knowing the right rules can save plenty of embarrassment!
