Hello, we play in a small league in Tokyo and some controversy has arisen over sustituting players mid game.
According to the official rules posted on this site, it is not permitted, but one of the experienced players on another team says it is now allowed in high-end competitions.
We feel it's against the spirit of the game and unfair as if you're having a bad day you can simly substitute yourself out of the game and bring on someone who is more suited to the piste or opposition.
Can someone please clarify?
Thanks
