The FIPJP continues to approve the use of resin jacks
(ref art.3 FIPJP Rules 2009). Should a club advertise that it's tournament is governed by the rules of the FIPJP, if a team or player refuses to begin play because its competitor is using a resin jack, in what situation have they, the team refusing to play, put themselves in? Have they involuntarily forfeited the game? And can a club or association ban the use of certain equipment that has the approval of the FIPJP?

I would imagine that FIPJP rules are quite clear.
You can play by them or you can do something else.
But can’t change or ignore some of them and then say you are following the rules.
How active the petanque police are in your area I have no idea.
