I was just wondering (I saw a post from Wesley concerning beach boules) why there seem to be so many 'recreational' sets of boules available in sets of 8 or even 4?

......just curious.....

Thanks
Barry

Because they are 'family' sets, i.e. 4 people can play with 2 boules each.

Hi Ray

Thanks for your thoughts. I get that,.......but why only 2 each - why not 3 each. Make the sets in 6's or 12's.....wouldn't that make more sense?

(Hope there are some manufacturers/retailers out there listening)

Cheers

Hi Barry,

Do you really want to carry 12 boules around in one sack? The equivalent of 4 triplettes? Yikes. Frankly, I think even 8 is stretching it.

Cheers,

Marc

I presume the manufacturers have done their market research and sets of 6 & 8 are what sell best.

Personally, I think it's a shame that the sets of 6 are invariably sold as 3 pairs. I've seen SO many people who play '3 singles' each taking it in turn to point 1 boule close to the jack - a deadly boring game.

Regards.

Ray
