Hi everybody, im 16 & petanque is my life. But unfortunately whenever my partner & I go to competitions we have to play in the seniors. I dont mind playing against with the men, but it would be nice to play against someone my own age. Im not sure how many juniors play in other countries, but in Australia there's only about 50. Unfortunately petanque is not well known in Australia & it is not promoted as well in other countries. So what can i do to get some more juniors to start playing petanque???

Postcard #36

I am very interested in knowing what picture Postcard #36 is a reproduction of. Who did the original art? Are there large size prints available and where? Perhaps the information is on the other side of the postcard, as sometimes credit is given there. If anyone knows where I can get a print, PLEASE write.

Besides this comment, I do want to thank you for a lovely petanque site. It is thorough and informative and funny, too!

Thank you.

I am from Scotland and there are SEVEN Junior players. Two years ago at the Scottish Junior pairs, three people turned up! Of course, I can understand people not wanting to play in Scotland - you can get very cold and very wet!!!

Hi there

We just started a new club in Denmark, and we have 7 junior players, and 2 under 12, so it can be done, just give them the faith that they can do results in the tournaments. But why is the prices not higher, it would tempt more juniors.
