I am contemplating the purchase of the MS Cara CZ Turtle Stainless Steel boule. Has anyone used this boule and what are your comments on the product ?

What do you people around this great game think?

Michael, I have been using them for a year now and have really come to like them. I used checkered balls previous to this and I like the grip better on the Turtle. Tracking while pointing is about the same. Bruce

Sorry about the wrong group, didn't notice how to choose it... administration can move this to right group and remove this reply, if possible...

I feel that Marco Foyot was something of an inspiration to me in introducing me to how the game should really be played. I translated his first coaching video for the English market, read his book and went on one of his first coaching courses in France.

Marco has probably done the most by far out of all the current players to promote and popularise the game.

Surely it would have been far more constructive for the French Federation to have responded in a positive way to any criticisms made. I think any suspension is absolutely ridiculous and completely wrong.

I hope that sanity will prevail and something constructive will emerge.

You are 100% right Ray, what a shame!

Such is the state of freedom of speech in France. Marco should win easily in court if he chooses to sue. Since his livelihood partly depends on keeping his license, and since the Fede fined him, this is the equivalent of a penal sanction. If so, then the the Federation does need to have proper procedures in place both for a defense and appeal.

The French Fede has always been run as a dictatorial mafia ... and this proves it.

They are a bit like Berlusconi, or the olympic organisation.

I would like to make a new federation, based on interest, good will and the love of petanque. Petanque.org will help with everything we can do.

I suggest we make it a pan-european organisation, with all countries in europe represented.
