This is an attempt at making a good faq for the game of petanque. All questions that are directly related to the game and it's basic rules should be included here. The questions and answers are meant for beginners - so please keep it easy to understand for non-players.

ofcourse it can depend on the current situation within the game.
sometimes you will see the shooter try to hit a boule that is well away from the head just for some extra practise, or a pointer try a new area for pitching - possibly testing out a different area for the coche...

If a team has the point with one or more boules left and the other team is out of boules can they just take the point without throwing their remaining boules.
