This is an attempt at making a good faq for the game of petanque. All questions that are directly related to the game and it's basic rules should be included here. The questions and answers are meant for beginners - so please keep it easy to understand for non-players.

Hi there... The Game is called Bocci not Bocce. It means balls..
First u start by throwing the jack. Then u throw a small green ball as near to the jack as possible.
If u manage to throw it exactly next to the jack its the red's turn.
They have to throw a red tin size block and eliminate the small green ball you threw.
If the red tin is near the jack the others have to throw another grren tin to eliminate yours.
If your thin is away from the jack the others will continue with the small balls and the game will end when they dont have any more balls and blocks to throw. The winners are those who have most tins or balls of the same colour near the jack.
Sweetie pie next time you come to Malta just ask someone next to you to explain it. it is not a straight forward game. Its typical Maltese so beware of details and strange rules:)
