This is typically the first shot used by all players, as it is the easiest shot to perform. The ball in thrown about halfway and rolls the rest of the way.




Generally it works , but if the ground is covered with pebbles or is very uneven the chances of succeeding are slim. Under those circumstances the high-shot would be preferrable. On very hard surfaces it is definetively the best shot. With a bit of backspin the placement of the boule can be very well controlled
