Hello,
Anyone here know how Quintaisport.com is, quality-wise? Versus to that of Petanque.org? ?

>in terms of shipping to stateside? Product quality?
Product variety??

I assume that based on its webpage front, that it is named after a certain player, Phillipe Quintais.

So much to learn, so little time!

kind regards,

Before you go and order directly from France and get caught up in the nightmare of US Dollars vs. the Euro exchange rate plus international shipping fees and customs duties why don't you visit www.petanque-america.com Philippe is the owner and most of his boules especially from OBUT are cheaper than buying directly from France. I recently bought a set of OBUT Match + for basically the same $ rate as the Euro and only had $10 or so in US Postage. I'm thinking about buying another set of the same and just keeping them in the closet for several years until my current set wears out as I don't see the US $ getting any stronger in the near future. I used to buy directly from France when the $ was at 1.18 - 1.20 but at 1.45 - 1.50 all the advantages of the refund of the TVA tax at 19.8% or so which usually offset the international freight have disappeared. Philippe has beaucoup boules in stock or if you want something special he can order it for you. Good Luck.

nice sensible letter. but in a spirit of seasonal silliness, will boules futures outpace pork-bellies?

Mr. Baker,
thanks for the tips and suggestions. I've already ordered some sets from Philippe's www.petanque-america dot com website. Great quality. I realize that my question was a bit ignorant of information that those in-the-know would scoff at when reading this question so it was kind of you to post a reply anyways.

Newbies get lots of flak I suppose.
kind regards,

Eric
