NEWSWe have tried to have updated petanuqe-news here since 1997, but we have decided that not only is it too much work to make a good news-site or all players in all the world, but it is not very interesting for most players either. So with the exception of world-championships. etc. we will no more publish news here at petanque.org. But - as there are a lot of sites that do publish news from their own clubs or countries we will make a mechanism for all clubs to use petanque.org as a "news front page" for their site, by enableling all to post info about the latest story on their own web-pages. How this will work is not decided yet. It will probably work along the lines of the tournaments-database, with a listing of all the latest stories, info about where they are, and direct links to all the pages.
LATEST NEWSPetanque.org integrates with flickrMany years ago there was no way of getting your pictures online unless you knew someone with a homepage. Or you mailed them to petanque.org, and we'd put it on the web for you. But nowadays nobody does this thing anymore, there are thousands of ways to get your images online, and our pictures-section is about as dry as the sahara. So we have had to make some changes 25 years of danish petanque tshirtsLars Refn was one of the founders of the Copenhagen Petanque Club in Denmark. He is also an illustrator, and has produces a vast number of t-shirts with petanque as the theme over the years. Encouraging new playersA positive newsflash fron Chiltern - the young ones have started playing petanque! Too old to play petanque? We often get questions about when you are to old to play petanque. Some say 90, some 100 and some 120.. Petanque in BlanzaguetA report from Tim Truluck in Charente, France. |
